Description
The wood is carefully selected by a carpenter. Everything is done manually. Walnut or oak wood is used in the production process, depending on the preference of the buyer. The production process lasts between 10 and 20 days.
The size of the icons can be
20 x 30 cm
30 x 45 cm
40 x 60 cm
60 x 80 cm
The first step in the processing process is the selection and polishing of the desired wood. Following is the carving process that will give the icon/panoply shape.
There is another grinding to finish the edges and corners.
The last 2 processes are manual painting with water-based paint. After drying, apply a final layer of transparent varnish.
In order to have the effect of old (black) a layer of black lacquer is given and then the carving is polished again.
