LEATHER STRAP & HARNESS
Start looking for a camera belt holster and two things become obvious fast. First, the brands that genuinely build this product fit on one hand. Second, the bill climbs quickly once accessories go in the basket.
This article lays out what to check before buying, with real numbers, and without taking cheap shots at competitors who make good gear.
A photographer put it better than we could, while complaining about a shipping wait:
Unfortunately there are not many brands making this product, and above all I would never trust something like this unless I was one hundred percent sure it was reliable.
Wedding photographer
He is right on both counts. A holster suspends a two thousand euro camera off your hip: the barrier is not making one, it is making one nobody has to think about mid job. That is why there are few makers, and why the decision comes down to mechanical detail rather than product photography.
Every serious system uses a plate screwed into the 1/4 inch thread on the body. Be suspicious of anything that clips to the strap lugs: those are not designed to carry a concentrated hanging load.
Check too whether the plate still plays nicely with your Arca-Swiss tripod mount. If it does not, every move between holster and tripod becomes a screwdriver job.
Holsters mount on a belt. If the loops are narrow, your working belt will not fit and you are buying another one. Our loops are adjustable and take belts up to 5 cm, which covers essentially everything.
Nylon and plastic weigh less and cost less. Full grain leather weighs a little more, does not fray at the edges, does not go shiny at the rub points, and looks better after two years than it did on day one. Both directions are legitimate, you just want to know which one you are choosing.
This is where price comparisons fall apart. A reference dual kit on the market starts around 299 US dollars and includes belt, housings and plates. Our dual holster is 159 euro and includes the two housings with plates, but not the belt, which is 39 euro separately.
Complete configurations side by side: roughly 299 dollars against 198 euro. Numbers, not slogans.
It sounds like paperwork until you have a wedding season in front of you. Makers working in small batches often build to order, with waits that can run past a month. Our holsters are in stock and ship immediately, with free shipping.

The plate screws into the 1/4 inch thread. If you run a fixed Arca-Swiss plate on the body, check the combined stack height before ordering, or send us your camera model.
It is full grain leather, so it weighs more than a nylon equivalent. In exchange it does not deform and does not wear at the edges.
Yes, up to 5 cm wide. Otherwise there is the matching quick release belt.
The products are in stock and shipping is free. We do not build this line to order.
Yes. Plenty of people run one body on the holster and one on a dual camera harness or a single camera strap.
