LEATHER STRAP & HARNESS
When we have professional photographers test our products, we get brutally honest feedback. Here’s @giuseppe_nuzzo_corso’s review of the GenuineStrap leather double-strap, after a year of shooting real weddings.
We care about what works and what needs improvement. Giuseppe’s review of the GenuineStrap double-strap leather strap is one of the most detailed we’ve received: leather, hardware, comfort after 12 hours, buckle details. Here it is in full, with our responses.
"I was looking for something that was aesthetically consistent with my style of wedding photography and that would allow me to work 12 hours without even noticing. I found it." @giuseppe_nuzzo_corso
Giuseppe Nuzzo Corso works as a documentary wedding photographer in Southern Italy. He photographs 4050 weddings a year with a style that blends classic reportage and intimate portraiture. He uses two full-frame Sony Alpha bodies.
Before trying our double strap, he had used a DIY solution (two single straps) for 4 years and an American-brand nylon double strap for 2 years. He knew the problem; he knew the alternatives.
Giuseppe chose Vintage Brown. Vegetable-tanned full-grain leather. His observation: 'It’s slightly stiff for the first 45 uses, which is normal. After 2 weeks, it molds perfectly to your shoulders. After 6 months, it’s developed a patina I really like: it’s darkened in a couple of spots where it rests most, while retaining its original color elsewhere. It’s become a one-of-a-kind shoulder bag.'
Giuseppe was used to products with brass hardware. His opinion: 'Brass is beautiful but heavy, and it oxidizes in coastal areas. Satin-finished stainless steel is just as visually solid, lighter (a 40g difference is noticeable after 10 hours), and resistant to salt. For me, it’s the right choice.'
Stainless steel is just as visually solid, lighter, and resistant to salt. For me, it’s the right choice.
Real-world test: a summer wedding in Puglia, 12 hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, temperature 32°C. Giuseppe: 'Shirt stayed dry, no back painI forgot I was wearing it for hours on end. The white padding is the detail that makes all the difference in the summer.'
The leather sliders glide smoothly right from the first use. Giuseppe: 'I switch from wide-angle to telephoto in a second. During key moments of the reception, this changes everything: I capture the glances I used to miss with a single strap.'
Giuseppe wasn’t kind about the initial packaging, which he felt was ‘too basic for a premium product.’ We took his feedback to heart: starting in 2025, the dual lenses will come in a rigid box with an internal leather case. Good point.

The testing program that made Giuseppe’s review possible is open to Italian wedding photographers and documentary photographers with at least 3 years of professional experience. We send the product for free testing for 3090 days in exchange for an honest review (whether positive or negative) and technical feedback.
To apply: send your online portfolio (website or professional Instagram) and a brief description of your work to [email protected] with the subject line 'Product Test'. We select 45 photographers per season.
We do not edit the testers’ reviews. We publish everything, including criticism. This is how we improve the product: the dual v2 from 2025 was developed directly from feedback provided by Giuseppe and three other testers from the previous season.
Yes. His Instagram profile is @giuseppe_nuzzo_corso. He answers questions from photographers considering a purchase.
Well. It has been treated to withstand sweat moisture. Apply a neutral cream every 6 months, and it will last 810 years even in hot, humid climates.
Firsthand reviews from professional photographers are worth more than 100 pages of marketing copy. Giuseppe’s review of the double-strap leather bag describes exactly what to look for in a premium double-strap bag: leather that molds to your body, reliable hardware, and comfort that makes you forget the weight.
If you’re a wedding photographer or a documentary photographer dealing with long events, our Vintage Brown double-strap bag is a choice you’ll be convinced of after 12 months.
