New Leather Bags and Wallets Now in Stock at GenuineStrap (2026)

Seven new leather pieces have just landed in our inventory, and for the first time they are not camera gear. Handbags, a men’s reporter bag and three wallets, cut and stitched in the same workshop, from the same full grain hides, by the same hands that make our camera harnesses.

Every piece is in stock as a single unit. That is how we work: we buy hides individually and what you see photographed is the piece that ships. If it sells before you get there, backorder is open on all seven and we make the next one to the same specification.

Three chain crossbody bags, one silhouette

The envelope chain bag is the piece we expect to move first. At 15 x 25 cm it holds a phone, a card holder, keys and a lipstick, and nothing more, which is the whole argument for it. The flap folds to a soft point over a single hidden snap.

The chain is a flat curb link in silver tone metal, wide enough to spread weight across the shoulder rather than dig into it, and it detaches at both ends. Clipped on it is a crossbody, tucked inside it is a clutch.

It arrives in three finishes: White Leather Chain Crossbody Bag in smooth hide, Tan Leather Chain Crossbody Bag in a warm grained finish, and Black Quilted Leather Chain Crossbody Bag, quilted in wide diamonds line by line so the leather puffs slightly between the seams. A soft brown shoulder bag built to lose its shape

Most bags are engineered to hold a shape. The Brown Leather Slouch Shoulder Bag is engineered to take yours. It is cut from soft full grain hide that folds and drapes as you carry it, so it settles against the body instead of standing away from it.

At 35 x 25 cm it is a genuine everyday bag. A laptop sleeve, a folder of papers and a water bottle all sit in the single compartment without it looking overloaded. A gold tone zip runs the full width of the opening, and an interior zip pocket keeps small things out of the bottom. A studded leather tassel hangs from the zip pull. 89.00 €.

For him: a vertical reporter bag

The Men’s Brown Leather Reporter Crossbody Bag is what you carry when a backpack is too much and your pockets are not enough. Cut vertically at 20 x 28 cm, it sits flat against the back and rides at the hip, so you can cross a crowded station without swinging it into anybody.

Inside, one lined compartment takes a 10 inch tablet, an A5 notebook and a charger. A front zip pocket handles phone and keys without opening the bag, and the main opening runs on an antique brass zip sized heavier than the bag strictly needs, because zips are what fail first on a daily carry bag. 80.00 €.

Two wallets, two different problems

The Slim Leather Bifold Card Holder Wallet is for people who stopped carrying cash and got tired of sitting on a brick. Eight card slots plus a full width slip pocket, and it stays under 1.5 cm thick even loaded because the slots are skived: the leather is thinned at the overlaps before stitching. Choose black, brown, or dark brown croc embossed. 24.00 €.

The Dark Brown Leather Wallet on Chain solves the opposite problem: the days when you need cards, cash and a phone and do not want to carry a bag to hold them. Opened flat it measures 20 x 22 cm, with card slots, a long note section that takes bills unfolded, and a zip coin pocket. The chain clips to two D-rings and comes off in a second. 28.00 €.

What full grain actually means here

All seven pieces are full grain leather, outside and in. Full grain keeps the natural surface of the hide, which is why it develops a patina instead of peeling. It is heavier and more expensive than corrected or coated split leather, and it is the reason a bag like these is still in use ten years after it was bought.

On the wallets there is no bonded leather backing and no fabric lining hiding a cheaper layer. Edges are burnished and sealed by hand rather than folded and glued, so the seams do not lift. Because we work from individual hides, grain and shade vary slightly from piece to piece.

We did not set out to make a handbag line. We had hides that were too good to cut into straps, and this is what came out of them.
